SAY A LITTLE PRAYER @ MONESTERIO DE STA. CLARA de MANILA

Preparing for your board exam or bar exam? Here's the first thing you have to do, visit Monesterio de Sta. Clara de Manila! Have you heard about egg and prayer offering if you're going to take exam? Well, it's true and I did it as part of my preparation for the LET 2011. I went there with a written prayer and half dozen eggs wrapped in blue cellophane. In God's grace I passed and same thing goes with my friends. However, it doesn't mean when you have gone there and said your devotion you'll surely pass, NO! as I've said earlier it is just a PART of your preparation. Of course you'll need to do your part and let God do the rest.

Here's the entrance.

A wishing fountain.

O Glorious St. Clare! God has given you the power of working miracles continually, and the favor of answering the prayers of those who invoke your assistance in misfortune, anxiety, and distress. We beseech you, obtain from Jesus through Mary His Blessed Mother, what we beg of you so fervently and hopefully, (mention your petition) if it be for the greater honor and glory of God and for the good of our souls.   Amen.

The area where people write solemnly their prayers and intentions. Once you're done you can go inside and someone will assist you. They are not just accepting eggs but also monetary help.

There are also free candles if you want to offer one.

If you are from Pasig you can take a jeep to "Marikina" (P14.00 from Pasig Palengke to Ligaya) then ask the driver to drop you off at Ligaya. From there, take another jeep going to "Cubao" (P8.00 from Ligaya to Monesterio De Sta. Clara) then ask the driver to drop you off at Monesterio De Sta. Clara then just take the overpass and you can easily recognize it because there are so many vendors outside so you don't have to worry if you forgot to bring eggs (half dozen costs P36.00) because they will surely help you.

BRUNCH @ KANTO FREESTYLE BREAKFAST

Are you looking for a place to have hang-out with your barkada? You may stop for a while and check KANTO FREE STYLE BREAKFAST! It's open 24/7 so you don't have to worry because they are totally ready to serve you whatever time of the day!

Meet my eating buddy, Yanah! You can see in the picture how happy and ready we are to attack the food on the table. Speaking of food... I ordered mixed berry pancakes (P 90.00) and my buddy ordered Batangas beef tapa (P 95.00) then we both decided to have orange juice (P 30.00).

I fell in love with the place surrounded by quotes (wasn't able to take picture) and signs that will draw smile to you face just like this one...

Their branch in Plainview Mandaluyong looks like an ordinary karinderya while the branch in Kapitolyo, Pasig City looks like a garage. However, they have an extra ordinary way of preparing your meal plus their very friendly staffs. Here's the map if you want to visit the branch in Pasig.
